A generic product apparently for all Igloo chests so you can expect to have some extra parts and some mismatches. Our broken latch was replaced with one of these and it did not match the one good one remaining on the cooler. It did fit, however, so I guess it'll be fine. Kit DOES come with replacement screws, 4 hinges, 2 latches and latch buttons and 2 different drain fittings. There are no directions, but installation is straight forward.

Well I agree with another post. The hinges on the Igloo coolers seem to break quite often esp newer model single piece style hinge. I just ordered this kit and fix two of my coolers. I wish Igloo still makes the old style pinned hinge instead of a piece of plastic. I have an old Igloo cooler with pinned hinge and it never breaks while I have to fix two of newer coolers' hinges. Another issue is the latch is not identical as the original. The original latch has the screws behind the latch while the new one has them exposed. I guess it's not that of a big deal since the kit comes with stainless screws. The price is excellent, if I have to purchase all the parts separately they could have cost me well over $20 instead of $13.

I am so glad to find a vacuum bag that works for my Eureka Mighty Might vacuum. It seems that they no longer sell the bags that fit this model of vacuum but this bag does work with a bit of trimming and taping. It also is a bigger bag than the original so I can use it a bit longer. Very pleased with my purchase!

I recently purchased the Mighty-Mite Canister Vacuum online, based on the Amazon reviews, and because the reviews also noted that the bags were hard to find locally (thank you, reviewers!) I ordered extra generic bags online as well, from a different seller from whom I was also buying Shop-Vac filters. I'm very happy with the vacuum, and the bags seem to be doing their job well. They seem roomier than I expected for such a small vacuum, and are so easy to change, probably even the dog could do it (hmmm, how trainable are labs?...). We have a lot of dog/cat hair to contend with, so those features are important. They also seem to be good as far as allergies are concerned. I'm very pleased with the product.

"Making my laptop workable!" 2009-10-22

My laptop has always had a problem: it overheats. I had to put it on a lap desk just to keep from burning my knees. Literally. Finally it started overheating enough to shut down now and then, when I got a new game that taxed it just a little too much. I started researching laptop cooling pads, but it seemed hard to find something that didn't have a lot of negatives. I wanted it to be effective, to fit a 17" widescreen laptop (most pad listings don't even give dimensions), and to be not too noisy. I was hoping for cheap, too, but well, you can't have everything---sometimes it's worth paying a little more. I ordered the ZM-NC2000 black and crossed my fingers that it would make a noticeable difference. I wasn't expecting a lot, frankly, because so many laptop cooler reviews expressed dissatisfaction at the cooling capability. While the reviews of this one were much more positive, it was still hard to believe it would work.

And yet, it's worked out better than I could have hoped! The cooler is incredibly quiet (the first time I turned it on I wasn't sure it was on). Better than that---not ONCE has my laptop gotten burning hot since I started using it! It stays nice and happy, and hasn't shut itself down a single time.

The only downside at all is that the underside is uncomfortable on my lap; I still need to put it on a lap desk, which adds up to a bit of weight. But it's worth it for a nice, quiet, cool laptop that does what I want it to do.

Construction Quality: The cooler is made of a thick chunk of machined aluminum that has been processed to be scratch-proof. It's absolutely solid and feels substantial.

Cooling Effect: While I don't have the numbers in front of me, my HP HDX would heat up to be uncomfortable to the touch when handling high processor loads. With this cooler, even running the most taxing programs, my computer barely breaks a sweat!

Portability: The NC-2000 was built to handle larger notebooks like my 16-inch HDX. With my laptop sitting dead center, there is a half-inch clearance between the edge of my laptop and the edge of the cooler on both sides along with about an inch and a half of clearance total from front to back. Essentially, the cooler is quite large, and ends up being as much an inch and three quarters at its widest point. Assuming you have a laptop back or backpack that is large enough to carry your large laptop, you should have no problem fitting the cooler inside. However, if you're looking for a smaller, more portable model, you should look into the ZM-NC1000.

USB ports: The cooler is powered by a provided USB cord that plugs into your notebook. Zalman was nice enough to provide two USB ports on the cooler: one on the left and the other on the right. While one port is used to provide power to the cooler, the other USB port allows you to still have the same number of usable ports to connect your peripherals. It would have been nice of Zalman to incorporate a USB hub into the cooler, but the spare USB port works just fine.

Noise: With the variable fan speed dial on the side, it is possible to adjust the speed of the fans, thus controlling the noise level. My tip to you is to simply keep the cooler turned up to its maximum. Chances are, your own breathing and typing noises will be louder than the cooler itself. If you turn the fan speed down on the cooler, you can bet that the built-in case fans on your laptop would be louder.

Overall, this product is excellent. Of course, it is a bit more expensive than the other coolers that you might find, but Zalman really spared no expense in making sure this little number did the job right. 3mm thick aluminum, anodized and coated, near-silent operation, variable fan speed controls, and a pretty blue light that tells you when it's on (Trust me, you'll need it...you won't be able to hear the thing). You might be tempted to buy a cheaper product made of flimsy plastic, but you will definitely get what you pay for. I think of it as buying a five-dollar insurance policy for your thousand-dollar laptop. While the Zalman ZM-NC2000 costs more, you get much more than you pay for. It's solid, sturdy, efficient, and silent. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and I would recommend this product 100%!!

I use the cooler for a HP dv6500t 15" monitor laptop with Core 2 Duo processors and Nvidia GPU (8400 GM). My CPU fan seemed to be running all the time at high speed even when I was running Flash player ([...] etc). After using the cooler, the CPU does not seem to heat up as much and neither does the CPU fan seem to be running at full speed all the time.

The cooler is pretty large but surprisingly light. For me, since my laptop itself is pretty large, the added cooler weight causes only minimal problems.

This is a very effective and well constructed Notebook Cooler. I use my laptop to stream movies from Netflix to my TV and afterwards my Laptop remains cool to the touch. The book has a lot of pictures of the different parts of the engine from different manufactures with descriptions. This however does not go into detail of what will work with what. Does not go into detail on rebuilding an engine. It is of some use just not what I thought it would be. A better title would be "The Aircooled VW Engine Picture Book".
