I recently purchased this cooling system but before I bought it, I had some skeptisms about it
such as its weight, noice and durability, whether for its price it is worth buying; to my surprised
when I got the equipment and used it, all of my doubts where cleared because the machine operates
smoothly like a cool cucumber giving all its juice that one would expect. A very good item
to have if you intent to prolong the life of your laptop.

I bought this product for a friend of mine with a gaming computer that constantly heats up. Before I bought this for him, he was using another cooler that wasn't doing the job, and also it didn't even fit the laptop (17"). This notebook cooler was the absolute perfect size! I am so impressed with my new Zalman ZM-NC2000! It's whisper quiet even on high speed. The two usb hookups are very convenient. It provides a very stable platform and the effective cooling is immediately evident. My laptop's internal fan is not kicking in so much. I'm sure my computer will last longer. I think this notebook cooler is money well spent!

I have one of these for each of my laptops. This one fits my dell studio 17 perfectly. The fans don't help a lot which is somewhat disappointing since the smaller nc1000 cools my dell e1505 very well. It is however well built and works well to keep the air moving when I us my laptop on my lap. Without it, the vents get blocked by my legs. It lowers core temps on the studio 17 maybe 1 to 3 C in my experience and doesn't prevent thermal overload with high cpu loads. Still its a keeper in my book.
If noise is an issue for you fear not. This thing is amazingly quiet, even with the fans on high. The airflow seems good. I can feel the air blowing out around the bottom of my laptop.

Completely happy with this product! It's a bit on the pricy side, but so worth it.
Construction is sleek and solid, the fans are silent, and it keeps my fire-breathing laptop chilled like no other laptop cooling pad I've used. It has USB ports on the left and right side, so wherever you've got a port available, the Zalman will plug in easily.
Worth every penny. I'm going to buy one for my wife now!
