This is a good cooler but it is obsolete compared to the newer wheeled Igloos and Colemans.
This Cooler uses a piece of plastic as a hinge. How many times does a piece of plastic flex before it breaks? They will eventually break. They always have before.
This cooler is also a bit long and low for sitting on.
The newer Igloos and Colemans have shorter higher equivalent sizes with telescoping handles on the sides. They are much easier to use and sit on.
On the newer models, the plastic hinge has been replaced with a lid that fits into slots and therefore there is no piece to break.
If a cooler is a cooler to you and you do not care, this will do just fine. However, if you want the best unit I would try:
1)Coleman 75 QT WHEELED XTREME® 5 COOLER , also 50 quart
2) Igloo 60 Quart Island Breeze ( In red ! ) # and not even on the Igloo site but I purchased two for thirty dollars at Walmart.
Both of those products have far better quality handles.
Ok, cooler heads?

I ordered this cooler to replace an Igloo Icecube I currently have. The Igloo has lasted me for a while and has been solid. I needed something to hold ice for longer periods of time though.
It arrived in good shape and I took it immediately outside and filled it with water. I watched for a while to see if there are any leaks and it did not leak. I threw some ice inside and let it sit on the back porch for a couple days and the ice is still in there after a couple days. Granted it is around 50 degrees here but in my other coolers it would of melted already. I think this is a big upgrade over the igloo and it did not cost much more. It was only around $15 difference for around the same size.
The only thing that would concern me is the hinges. The hinges seem a little weak but only time will tell and the other Coleman cooler I have has the same type of hinges and is still going strong.

Bought it as a gift for my brother and his wife. It's a great product and the price was EXCELLENT for a cooler this size. (Under $50 if I recall)

I was so pleased with the product and the time it took to get the coolers. We needed them for our youth basketball concessions ASAP. Right size and easy to take in and out of the gym.

This cooler is perfect for camping with our pop-up. It keeps food cold for at least five days with the original bag of ice! We use the plastic freezer blocks instead of ice for keeping perishables fresh, but the ice we do buy for drinks, stays pretty much frozen for about 4 days. Then helps to keep the other products cold for about two more days. Definately worth the price.
